Byron Scott, born March 28, 1961, in Washington, D.C., is a former NBA player and coach. He played college basketball at Arizona State and was drafted by the San Diego Clippers in 1983 but is best known for his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won three NBA championships (1985, 1987, 1988).
